Diablo Mountain South
Fence Removal

ODLT needs 6-8 volunteers to assist with removing a 2.2-mile boundary fence at our Diablo Mountain South property on Saturday, Oct 13. This will ensure wildlife connectivity between the property and surrounding public lands within the Diablo Mountain Wilderness Study Area (WSA) and Summer Lake Wildlife Area.

Please bring work gloves, long sleeve shirts, sunscreen, and wide-brimmed hats. We will provide fence post pullers and wire cutters, but you’re more than welcome to bring your own. There are no facilities on the property. We’ll provide snacks and beverages, but please bring your preferred food, water, and appropriate clothing for the weather and terrain.

Volunteers may camp Friday night at PLAYA in nearby Summer Lake, which has facilities (bathrooms, showers, internet, a common room, and other amenities). Campers or RVs are supported. It’s 35-min from the work site and you can meet our project lead there in the morning to head out together. Please share these plans in registration.
